Many ways to support citizen involvement

If you are reading this, you believe that active citizenship is essential to the future of our country and planet.

But we need your help to achieve our mission, and here is how you can help:
  1. Become a member;
  2. Make a donation;
  3. Volunteer;
  4. Receive and forward our e-newsletter;
  5. Forward a link to our website to your friends and colleagues;
  6. Take a class or attend a workshop.

Still unsure about how to help?  Contact our director, Jeffrey Stec, at jeffreystec@gmail.com, and he will help you consider the alternatives.

And in deciding how much to contribute (whether financially or with your time), ask yourself  how much attention gets paid to the idea of citizen-lead community governance?  Politicians and the media spend billions assuring us that a "great leader" will rescue us from ourselves.  Governments are busy cutting their budgets, especially things like "outreach", forgetting that citizens are essential to saving money, making government more efficient, and ensuring that government is playing the right role in community development.

So that's where CCR comes in:  we make sure that the message of citizen involvement stays top-of-mind with leaders, the media, and citizens alike; and we support citizens, government, and institutions in their efforts to engage people and each other.  And we keep the torch burning brightly so everyone can see the difference citizens can make in our world.
