Current CCR Projects--Making a Difference

In addition to teaching classes, hosting member meetings and leading hot-issue deliberation, CCR tackles issues that need citizen involvement to succeed.  Right now we are working on the following projects:
  • Advising new Cincinnati Police Chief James Craig on building a citizens advisory board to guide city-wide police policy;
  • Connecting grass-roots community networks in Cincinnati Police in District 1 to co-create public safety;
  • Facilitating the development of a parenting collaborative among  Price Hill  social service agencies that seeks to engage parents in addressing the community's parenting needs;
  • Teaching UC community design students the basics of citizen activism and community organizing;
  • Working with the Cincinnatus Association to help the City of Cincinnati design a comprehensive citizen engagement strategy;
  • Discussing with Agenda 360 how citizen engagement can move forward its regional initiatives;
  • Steering committee member of the following community efforts:  Plan Cincinnati, Neighborhood Summit, Core Change.

If you would like to help with any of these initiatives, please contact CCR's executive director at [email protected].
